Toxicity: 

Highly toxic to pets and children

 

Temperature: 

Keep between 60-80°F with minor fluctuation below/above these temps

Light Requirements:

These don’t need a ton of light, and will do well in bright indirect light to partial shade.

Watering Requirements:

Water sparingly – forgetting water is actually good for these plants.

Water only when the top half of soil is dry.

Fertilizing:

Fertilize with a balanced liquid fertilizer (5-2-3) only during growing season (spring-summer)

Dioscorea Elephantipes

 

Toxicity: 

Toxic to humans and pets

 

Temperature: 

Should be kept at a minimum of 65°F, but prefers warmer temperatures.

Light Requirements:

Elephants Foot can be kept in partial shade to full sun, though it prefers, and will grow much better in, high sun environments.

Watering Requirements:

Do not get water on the tuber (round part)

Allow soil to almost dry completely between waterings.

Fertilizing:

Use fertilizer diluted to 50% every few weeks when the vine is growing. 

Do not fertilize when the vine is not actively growing.

Toxicity: 

Toxic to humans and pets

 

Temperature: 

Keep around 55-85°F, prefers warmer temperatures

Light Requirements:

Keep in bright, indirect light

Watering Requirements:

Soak soil in well draining soil, and let the top two inches dry before watering again.

Fertilizing:

Fertilize monthly only from spring to summer using a 4-0-0 type fertilizer.

Epipremnum Shangri La (Pothos)

 

Toxicity: 

Toxic to humans and pets

 

Temperature: 

Should be kept between 70-90°F, but can tolerate lower temps for short periods.

Light Requirements:

Does best in medium to bright light

The gold variegation will come out more in brighter light conditions!

Watering Requirements:

Keep soil moist but not soggy.

Watering one to two times a week, depending on conditions, should be sufficient.

Fertilizing:

Use a 10-10-10 fertilizer once a month during growing season.
